Book Review: One by One by Ruth Ware.
A high tech group of young people decide to all vacation at a luxurious ski chalet in the French Alps. There are eight of them and each had a helping hand in their startup company. It becomes clear that the company may end up in financial ruin if they cannot come up with a better plan. These 8 co-workers decide to hold meetings at the chalet while enjoying the skiing, good food and friendship.
Ah, here is where the intrigue begins, as one of the leaders of the company, Eva goes missing. This causes an uproar and things get tense. So naturally they begin trying to solve that mystery when another worker ends up dead.
What I liked most was how the suspense builds towards the end, how each character was developed and each had reasons for wanting the company to succeed, & finally how you didn't expect how it would end.
What I didn't like: some of the characters I just thought were inane, not having enough personality.
My rating. 4 stars!!
